Red Cell Storage Containers
The A
LYX
storage containers. Each container is used to store a final red cell
product and has attached segment tubing for sampling and
testing of the blood product.
Plasma Storage Containers
The A
LYX
container that can be used as a storage container.
Note: This is the same container that is used for the temporary
storage of plasma as described previously.
This kit also includes two 450 mL plasma satellite storage
containers and additional tubing which may be used to sterile
connect additional plasma storage containers.
Note: The RBC/Plasma Procedure may not be available
depending on approval or clearance by the appropriate regulatory
agencies in each country.
Donor Needle and Needle Protector
A sterile, 18-gauge apheresis needle is attached to the kit via a
fistula. A needle protector is also attached to the fistula.
Sampling Pack
A sampling pack is attached to the kit. The sampling pack will
hold approximately 50 mL of whole blood when it is filled
completely. A tube holder with an internal sampling needle to fill
sample tubes is attached to the pack. A clamp on the tubing will
prevent fluid flow to the sample pouch after the sampling pouch
has been filled.
Leukoreduction Filter
The A
LYX
leukoreduction filter. When a filter is present, the collected red
cells are automatically mixed with red cell preservation solution
and pumped through the filter at the end of the procedure.
