If the door still will not open and there is a need to get into the
cassette compartment:
1.
Touch the end button or the shut down button on the stop screen
overlay (which appears after pressing the STOP button).
2.
Proceed to end the procedure and turn the instrument OFF.
3.
Attempt to open the cassette compartment door. If the
door opens, complete the task that required the door to be
opened. Once finished, close the door.
4.
If the cassette compartment door still will not open, turn the
instrument back ON.
5.
Attempt to open the cassette compartment door. If the
cassette compartment door still will not open, contact the
Hotline.
WARNING: Do not operate the instrument if the cassette
compartment door is open. Do not operate the instrument
if the cassette area or pump block gasket cover is damaged.
Unexpected Noise or Vibration
WARNING: Do not attempt to reinfuse blood components
following fluid leaks or spills, when the instrument is
operating with unexpected noise or vibration, or when a
procedure is ended due to persistent redness in the plasma
tubing. In these instances, the products must be discarded.
Follow the instructions below if unusual or unexpected noise or
vibration is coming from the instrument.
1.
End the procedure without fluid return by pressing the
STOP button and following the displayed instructions on
subsequent screens.
2.
Disconnect the donor. Follow appropriate institutional
guidelines for venipuncture site care.
3.
Turn the instrument OFF and remove the disposable kit.
4.
Inspect the centrifuge compartment for any loose parts. If
any loose instrument parts are found, keep the instrument
turned OFF and contact the Hotline.
5.
If no loose parts are found, ensure the instrument is level by
checking the bubble level on the front of the instrument. If
the instrument is not level, use the leveling feet to make the
instrument level.
6.
Turn the instrument ON. If the noise persists, turn the
instrument OFF and contact the Hotline.
