Unlock the front latch by lifting the latch tab outwards.
Closed Instrument
5.
Push the left hinge lock button in and lift the top half of
the instrument up until it is at a 90-degree angle from the
base of the instrument. The hinge lock will automatically
engage when the instrument is opened completely.
6.
Visually inspect the instrument's power cord(s) for damage.
Do not use a damaged power cord or plug.
CAUTION: Only operate the instrument with a Fenwal
approved power cord within the United States.
CAUTION: Outside the United States, only operate the
instrument with a Fenwal approved cord or a power cord that
meets the specifications outlined in this manual.
CAUTION: If the power cord or plug is damaged, do not
attempt to repair it. Contact your service representative for a
replacement.
7.
Install the power cord by plugging the appropriate end into
the back of the instrument.
8.
Plug the power cord into an appropriately grounded
energy source.
Note: Refer to Chapter 7, "Electrical Specifications," for the
instrument's electrical requirements.
9.
Remove the caps from ports 1 and 2 on the back of the
instrument and attach the pressure cuff to port 1.
