Data Zone
When the instrument is preparing for a procedure, the data zone
contains elements for entering, viewing, and modifying data
about the donor or the donation.
During the collection process, the data zone displays information
about the procedure and can be used to adjust certain procedure
settings (i.e., cuff pressure and flow rates).
The instrument is barcode compatible to allow entry of
information easily and accurately. A barcode scanner can be used
to scan the barcode provided on the disposable kit and other
items that may be required. These items will need to be barcode
enabled. Please refer to the Administrator's Guide to enable
barcode formatting. Refer to Enhanced Data Capture, Chapter 3
for additional information on barcodes.
The barcode scanner connects to port 5 on the back of the
instrument. When the barcodes for the kit and/or required
solutions are read correctly, the codes, lot numbers and
expiration dates will be recorded.
