Resolution
- Press the STOP button to end the procedure.
- Remove the kit.
- Check to ensure the air detector is dry.
- Start a new procedure with a different kit.
- Check that the AC container is properly
installed on the AC scale.
- Check that the AC cannula is broken.
- Check the AC line for kinks or occlusions.
- Resume the procedure.
- Check for kinks in the tubing that is highlighted
on the screen.
- Resume the procedure.
- Turn the instrument OFF, then back ON to
start a new procedure.
- If problem persists, contact the Hotline.
- Check the container on the scale that is
highlighted on the screen.
- Check the tubing leading to that container for
potential twisting.
-Check the appropriate kit has been loaded for
the procedure.
- Resume the procedure.
- Purge the air from the line.
- Check the donor line for air.
- Ensure the AC container is placed correctly on
the AC scale.
- Ensure the line from the anticoagulant
container to the cassette has no air.
- Ensure the anticoagulant line from the cassette
to the "Y" junction on the donor line has no air.
- If air is found, purge the air again. If no air is
found and the check button becomes active,
resume the procedure.
Note: If the air continues to persist after
several attempts to clear air from the line,
discontinue the procedure. Do not return
fluids.
Note: Small air bubbles in the AC line
dislodged from cassette surfaces will be drawn
into the kit during normal operation of the
instrument.
Note: Too many attempts to clear the air may
result in an IVD alarm (10504).
