While fluids are returned to the donor, an animated return icon is
displayed on the screen overlay.
The volume of fluids available for the donor continues to be
displayed on the screen and will decrease as fluid flows. The
rate of fluid return may still be adjusted by using the up arrow
button or down arrow button.
Note: While saline is being administered to the donor, the
amount of saline available should be monitored. An audible
alert will sound when the volume reaches 0 mL. The
instrument will leave saline in the saline container, even if the
volume displayed is 0 mL. This remaining saline is used during
the final return phase. If saline is given to the donor while the
procedure is paused, the amount of saline provided during
return phases may be reduced once the procedure resumes.
Touching the pause button will stop fluid flow to the donor.
Note: The cancel button is displayed until an adjustment or
action occurs. The check button will be displayed to resume or
return to the previous screen.
