To remove a fan filter, slide a finger underneath one side of the
filter and gently lift it from its position. The filter is made of a
flexible plastic that will allow it to temporarily bend, making
removal easy. Refer to the picture below.
Inspect the filter for dust and other particulate matter. If the
filter appears dirty, clean it by thoroughly rinsing it under tap
water. Dry the filter by gently pressing the filter between paper
towels to remove excess water, or air dry. Ensure the filter is
completely dry before reinstalling it on the instrument.
To reinstall a fan filter, gently insert one side of the filter securely
into two corner tabs of the filter holder on the instrument. Insert
the remaining two corners into their respective tabs. Press down
on the sides of the filter to ensure the filter is securely mounted
into its holder.
