Solution Containers

and red cell preservation solution containers. These containers
are equipped with breakaway cannulae to prevent the fluids from
unintentionally entering the kit before use.
Anticoagulant Container. The anticoagulant container holds
250 mL of ACD-A, which is metered into the incoming donor
whole blood during the procedure. An icon printed on the
container matches the icon just above the anticoagulant scale to
aid in kit loading.
Red Cell Preservation Solution Container. Adsol (AS-1) This
container holds 250 mL of Adsol (AS-1) red cell preservation
solution.
Red Cell Preservation Solution Container. SAG-M This
container holds 250 mL of SAG-M red cell preservation solution.
The red cell preservation solution is automatically metered into
the collected red cells during the leukoreduction phase of the
procedure. An icon printed on the container matches the icon
just above the red cell preservation solution platform to aid in kit
loading.
Saline Container. The saline container on the closed kit holds
500 mL of 0.9% sodium chloride. Saline is automatically
returned to the donor during the return phases of the procedure
to help maintain an isovolemic condition for the donor. An icon
printed on the closed kit container matches the icon next to the
saline scale to aid in kit loading.
Saline Spike. A spike is provided at the end of the saline line of
the kit to connect a 500 mL container of saline
Anti-Microbial Filter. An anti-microbial filter is provided on
the saline line to prevent bacteria from entering the sterile
environment of the kit.
Note: The A
operator to spike into a separate 500 mL of 0.9% saline
container.
WARNING: Use only 500 mL saline containers. Do not
attach or spike into another saline container during a
procedure.
