This section describes situations for troubleshooting that do not
involve alarms generated by the instrument including:
• No display or no touch screen response
• Centrifuge compartment door does not open
• Cassette compartment door does not open
• Unexpected noise or vibration
• Fluid in cassette and/or tubings before use
• Unsuccessful venipuncture
• Fluid spills or leaks
• Persistent redness in plasma container
• Unintentional power OFF
No Display or No Touch Screen Response
If the touch screen does not display an operating screen, and a
procedure is in progress, follow the instructions below.
1.
End the procedure by pressing the STOP button.
2.
Disconnect the donor. Follow appropriate institutional
guidelines for venipuncture care.
3.
Turn the instrument OFF and remove the disposable kit.
4.
Ensure the instrument is plugged into an appropriately
grounded outlet.
5.
Turn the instrument back ON. If there is still no response,
turn the instrument OFF.
6.
Check the fuses to see if one or both may have burned out.
Instructions for replacing fuses are provided below.
7.
If the instrument remains unresponsive, contact the Hotline.
