HAPTER
To enter donor information, follow the instructions provided
below.
1.
Touch the donation ID button. An alphanumeric keypad
overlay screen will appear.
2.
Enter the donation ID using the keypad.
3.
Touch the check button after the information has been entered
correctly.
Note: The donation ID must be entered before any other donor
information. Failure to enter the donation ID before any other
donor information may require that the information be re-
entered
Note: The donor ID icon will be displayed if it is enabled in
Administrative settings. If the ABO icon is enabled, the following
parameters will be displayed: blood type, heart rate, temperature
and blood pressure. Refer to Chapter 3, Enhanced Data Capture,
for additional information.
4.
Touch the gender button. The male icon will be displayed in the
button. Touching the button again will cause it to toggle to
display the female icon. Ensure the proper icon is displayed to
reflect the donor's gender.
5.
Touch the height button. A numeric keypad overlay screen will
appear.
6.
Enter the donor's height using the keypad.
7.
Touch the check button after the donor's height has been
entered correctly.
8.
Touch the weight button. A numeric keypad overlay screen
will appear.
9.
Enter the donor's weight using the keypad.
10. Touch the check button after the donor's weight has been
entered correctly.
11. Touch the hct/hgb button. A numeric keypad overlay screen
will appear.
12. Enter the donor's hematocrit or hemoglobin using the
keypad.
Note: The Hct/Hgb parameter can be defined to use either
hematocrit or hemoglobin. Hematocrit is used as the
measurement for this manual; however, hemoglobin may also be
used.
13. Touch the check button after the donor's hematocrit has been
entered correctly.
