In some instances, a product exemption message will be displayed on the procedure information screen that instructs the operator to check for product quality.

They serve these two functions: • Squeeze signal - During the draw phase, an indicator light illuminates inside a donor squeeze icon to signal the donor to squeeze his or her fist to aid the blood flow.

It provides screens that outline each step of the procedure, gives prompts to enter information or perform certain actions, and displays general information about the procedure.
  • Page 37 ’ OMPONENT OLLECTION YSTEM PERATOR ANUAL 2 – S HAPTER YSTEM VERVIEW STOP Button Pushing the STOP button pauses the instrument by closing all valves and stopping all pumps. The button also immediately closes the donor safety clamp, stops the centrifuge and deflates the pressure cuff.

The pump block and gasket interface with the cassette on the disposable kit to form the pumping system.

If air is detected, the system stops any fluid return immediately.

The leukoreduction filter fixture is the restraining device which accommodates the two-unit filter used with the 2RBC-LR procedure.

An icon on the instrument matches the icon provided on the container, making identification of this area and solution Red Cell Preservation placement easier.

This hanger swivels so the container(s) may be hung either in front or to the right side of the instrument.

The separation chamber on the disposable kit fits into a 3-arm carrier in the centrifuge.

The software in the instrument automatically converts the weight on each scale into fluid volumes based on specific gravity.

These caps must be removed from the ports prior to connecting the pressure cuff and operating the instrument.
