Attach new belt and apply proper tension to belt as

Tighten adjusting bolt by turning it counterclockwise.

Loosen lock nut. Using adjusting bolt, move idler pulley
in the direction that loosens belt.

Replace belt with a new one.
3)
Adjust belt adjusting bolt to tense belt properly. Then
tighten lock nut.
Tightening torque:
34 - 44 N·m (3.5 - 4.5 kg-m, 25 - 33 ft-Ib)

Tighten a new belt in two steps. Tighten first by applying
a force of 588 to 785 N (60 to 80 kg, 132 to 176Ib).
Then retighten to specified value after idling engine for
5 minutes.
