(5) I nstall timing belt from the crankshaft side. Be care-
ful not to loosen it.
(6) Loosen tensioner

H tightening bolt

by 1/2 turn
to apply tension to belt.
(7) Apply the specified torque to camshaft sprocket R H
in counterclockwise direction using BELT TENSION
WRENCH (499437100). While applying torque, tighten
tensioner

temporarily, then tighten

temporarily.

When torquing sprocket, be extremely careful not to apply
excessive force to it. Excessive belt tension
will
greatly reduce
belt life.

24 - 25 N·m
(15 - 25 kg, 33 - 551b)
(2.4 - 2.6 kg-m, 17 - 19 ft-Ib)
(8) Tighten bolt
@
and bolt
®,
in that order, to the
specified torque.
Tightening torque:
23 - 26 N·m (2.3 - 2.7 kg-m, 17 - 20 ft-Ib)
Make sure that flywheel timing mark and camshaft sprocket
RH timing mark are in their normal positions.
