Backlash adjustment
Set up a dial gauge as shown in Figure below. Select a
differential bevel washer so that pinion shaft can move
0.40 to 0.60 mm (0.0157 to 0.0236 in) in the axial direc-
tion.

4) Installing snap ring (Outer-50)
Select a snap ring so that side clearance between snap ring
and ball bearing is 0 to 0.2 mm (00 to 0.008 in).

DISASSEMBLY
1) Pull out shifter arm CP., selector arm, and reverse check
sleeve ASSY from transfer case.
2) Remove oil guide from transfer case.
