*1 Replace two belts simultaneously if the above fault
CIP : Crankshaft pulley
AIC : Air conditioner compressor pulley
is found on one of the two belts.
WIP : Water pump pulley
liP: Idler pulley
*2 When replacing belt with a new one, adjust its tension to the
AL T: Alternator pulley
specification and then readjust it to the same specification after
running engine for 5 minutes in consideration of its initial
expansion.

REPLACEMENT

[A] Alternator drive belt(s)

Loosen alternator mounting bolts and remove belt(s).

Install new belt(s) and tighten alternator installing bolts
as to obtain the specified belt tension shown in the above
table.

Wipe off any oil or water on belts and pulleys.
[8] Rear side belt (not driving alternator) on ve-
hicles equipped with air conditioner.

Loosen bolt and special nut, securing idler pulley then
remove belt.
