Install camshaft cases, lash adjustor and related parts.
(Refer to "Camshaft and Valve Rocker".)
9)
Install timing belt, belt cover and related parts.
(Refer to "Timing Belt and Belt Cover".)
After completing engine ASSY and mounting engine on car, be
sure to retighten cylinder head bolts.
(Refer to "2-2 ON-CAR SERVICES".)
Valve and Valve Springs
REMOVAL
1)
Remove cyl inder from engine ASSY.
(Refer to "Cylinder Head".)
2)
Using VALVE SPRING PRESS ASSY, compress the valve
spring and remove the valve spring retainer key. Remove each
valve and valve spring.
Mark each valve to prevent confusion.

If the contact surface of valve is damaged, or if the stem
end is recessed, corre.€t with a valve refacer, grinding as little as
possible.

Check valve springs for damage, free length, and tension.

Replace valve spring if it is not to the specifications presented
below.

To measure the squareness of the valve spring, stand the
spring on a surface plate and measure its deflection at the top
using a try square,
