Instructions for the use of h e diagnostic instrument.
Theconirol instrumentfor the injeciion system isconnected totheserial lineofthecontiol
unit
and
allows, in case of
a
fault, the display of
a
Code ihrough blinkings.
The code is cornposed
by
two separate digits, each one of them is composed by a
corresponding number of blinkings;
a
Ionger pause represenis ihe blank between the
two digits.
The synchron codes represent the beginning
and
the end of the error Code
and
are
composed
by
a
series of quick blinkings.
The transmission of the eiror codes is cyclic.
The updating of the error detection is made every time you turn the igniiion key or ihe
emergency
RUN/OFF
switch.
The total time for the transmission of
a
code is about
20
secs.
To check for foults in the elecironic ignition System, proceed
as
follows:
~
Insert ihe instiument
plug
into
its connecior
[AI,
located near the batieiy.
Connect the
t w o
instrumeni terminals io the batteiy.
Checkfor illuminaiion ofthe lamp, when the switch is in
TEST L 4 M P
position; ihen, after
ihis check, position ihe switch in its
CHECK
position.
Check for the ignition key, to be in its
ON
position and for the emergency switch, to
be in its central Position.
If
the
lamp
blinks, ihere is some fault in the iniection system.
The injeciion system components which are controllable through the diagnostic
instrument are'
