Usage You must be in INTERFACE mode before you add an IP address to an interface.

ip directed-broadcast

Enables the interface to receive directed broadcast packets.

ip directed-broadcast
To disable the interface from receiving directed broadcast packets, use the no ip
directed-broadcast command.
Defaults Disabled (that is, the interface does not receive directed broadcast packets)
