ip bfd multiplier
Configures the global BFD detection time multiplier. This command specifies a number that is used to
calculate the BFD detection time used in the asynchronous mode. The detection time value that is speci-
fied determines how long to wait before declaring that the BFD session is down.

Usage Guidelines
The global detection time multiplier is also configurable at the BFD interface level. Note that configur-
ing the global value with the ip bfd multiplier command does not override the value set for the inter-
face using the ip bfd interface multiplier command.
The global detection time multiplier serves as the default multiplier value for a BFD interface. The
default multiplier value is overridden when a specific value is configured for the interface.
