8. Firmly grasp the black handle of the ion cartridge tool in one hand and use your other
hand to pull the metal barrel out and away from the handle so that tool is fully
extended.The ion source cartridge is now hidden inside the barrel.
9. When the barrel can go no further, twist the handle to the left to lock it into position.
10. Insert the barrel end of the ion cartridge tool into the vacuum interlock and twist it to the
right to lock it into position. Be sure the black handle remains in the locked position.
