DTC B1036:
Driver's MICU IG1 Line Input
Error
NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be
sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System
Diagnosis Test Mode A (see page 22-120).
1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back
to ON (II).
3. Wait for 6 seconds or more.
4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DT C B1036 indicated?
YES
Go to step 5.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this
time. Check for loose or poor connections at the
driver's under-dash fuse/relay box connector C (5P).
If the connections are good, check the battery
condition (see page 22-88) and the charging
system.
5. Measure the voltage between the gauge control
module 32P connector No. 32 and No. 17 terminals.

Wire side of female terminals
Is there battery voltage?
YES
Faulty driver's MICU; substitute a known-
good driver's under-dash fuse/relay box and
recheck.
NO
Check the No. 5 (7.5 A) fuse in the driver's
under-dash fuse/relay box. If the fuse is OK, check
for an open in the BLK wire or a poor connection at
G502, or an open in the wire between the driver's
under-dash fuse/relay box and the gauge control
module, or repair a short in the wire between the
driver's under-dash fuse/relay box and the gauge
control module.
