– Remove bolts -1- for anti-roll bar.
– Remove bolts -1- for steering box.
– Prise steering box out of dowel sleeves of subframe.
– Position engine and gearbox jack - VAS 6931- -1- under sub‐
frame
– Fixing subframe ⇒ page 47
– Pull out spreader clip -arrow-.
– Lower subframe using engine and gearbox jack - VAS 6931-
until anti-roll bar can be removed to rear.
Installing
Installation is carried out in reverse order, noting the following:

The lever of the vehicle level sender must point towards the

outside of the vehicle.
Thread of vehicle level sender must be screwed into outer hole

in suspension link. Retaining lug for vehicle level sender must
engage in inner hole in order to guarantee correct installation
position.
