A/C Evaporator Inlet and Outlet Air Temperature
Sensors Inspection
Check resistance between terminals for A/C evaporator
inlet air temperature sensor (1) and A/C evaporator
outlet air temperature sensor (2).
If measured resistance is out of specification, replace A/
C evaporator temperature sensor.
A/C evaporator inlet and outlet air temperature
sensors resistance (Sensor Temperature:
Resistance)
0 °C (32 °F): 6.4 – 6.9 kΩ
25 °C (77 °F): 1.8 – 2.2 kΩ
Expansion Valve Removal and Installation
Removal
Refer to "A/C Evaporator Removal and Installation".
Installation
Reverse removal procedure to install expansion valve
noting the following instructions.
• Replenish specified amount of compressor oil to
compressor suction side by referring to "Operation
Procedure for Refrigerant Charging".
• Evacuate and charge refrigerant by referring to
"Operation Procedure for Refrigerant Charging".
• Sufficiently apply compressor oil to fitting surface of
O-ring and pipe.

A/C Refrigerant Pressure Switch Removal and
Installation
Removal
1) Disconnect negative (–) cable at battery.
2) Recover refrigerant from A/C system referring to
"Operation Procedure for Refrigerant Charging"
3) Disconnect A/C refrigerant pressure switch
connector (1).
4) Remove A/C refrigerant pressure switch (2) from
refrigerant pipe.
CAUTION
!
Be careful not to distort refrigerant pipe.
Installation
Reverse removal procedure to install A/C refrigerant
pressure switch noting the following instruction.
• Tighten A/C refrigerant pressure switch as specified
torque.
• Sufficiently apply compressor oil to fitting surface of
O-ring.
