Quick Checking of Refrigerant Charge

The following procedure can be used for quickly checking whether the A/C system has a proper amount of refrigerant
or not.
Run engine at fast idle and operate A/C system at its maximum cooling capacity for a few minutes.
Then, look at the sight glass (1) on condenser outlet pipe (2) and compare what is observed with the symptoms listed
in the table.

Are there any bubbles (3) in sight glass?

Is there a difference in temperature between compressor
inlet pipe and compressor outlet pipe?

Are any bubbles (3) produced in sight glass for a while (not
immediately), and then become clear when A/C is turned
OFF?
NOTE
Charge proper amount of refrigerant referring to "Operation Procedure for Refrigerant Charging", if
necessary.
