Rear Suspension Frame Removal And Installation (4Wd Model) - Suzuki Liana RH413 Service Manual

4) Install control rods referring to "Control Rod Removal
and Installation" and tighten bolt and nuts by hand.
5) Attach LSPV spring end to left side control rod (No.2)
referring to "LSPV (Load Sensing Proportioning
Valve) Removal and Installation in Section 4A" and
adjust LSPV spring referring to "LSPV (Load
Sensing Proportioning Valve) Inspection and
Adjustment in Section 4A" (if equipped with LSPV).
6) Install stabilizer bar. Refer to "Rear Stabilizer Bar
and/or Bushings Removal and Installation" and
tighten bolts and nuts by hand.
7) Install muffler referring to "Exhaust Manifold
Removal and Installation in Section 1K".
8) Install wheels and tighten wheel nuts to specified
torque.
9) Lower hoist and tighten control rod bolts and nuts to
specified torque.
10) Check rear toe and adjust it as necessary. For check
and adjustment procedures, refer to "Rear Wheel
Alignment Inspection and Adjustment".
Rear Suspension Frame Removal and
Installation (4WD Model)
CAUTION
!
When hoisting the vehicle by using a floor
jack, use care not to apply the floor jack to
the rear suspension frame. For the
appropriate lifting point, refer to "Vehicle
Lifting Points in Section 0A".
Removal
WARNING
!
To avoid the risk of being burned, start your
work after the exhaust system has cooled
down.
1) Hoist vehicle and remove wheels (right and left).
2) Drain differential oil.
3) Remove rear drive shaft nut of left side.
4) Remove muffler. Refer to "Exhaust Manifold
Removal and Installation in Section 1K".
5) Remove stabilizer bar referring to "Rear Stabilizer
Bar and/or Bushings Removal and Installation".
6) Detach LSPV spring end from left side control rod
(No.2) (if equipped with LSPV).
7) To facilitate toe adjustment after reinstallation, put
match marks (4) on washer (3) and on suspension
frame (2) (right and left).
8) Remove control rod (No.2) (1).

9) Remove control rod (No.1).
10) Remove left drive shaft from differential and knuckle,
and disconnect right drive shaft from differential.
11) To facilitate reinstallation, put match marks (1) on
No.2 propeller shaft flange and differential flange.

Disconnect No.2 propeller shaft form differential.
12) Remove differential, differential mounting and
mounting bracket from suspension frame.
13) Remove suspension frame from vehicle body.
Installation
1) Install suspension frame to vehicle body and tighten
suspension frame bolts to specified torque.
Tightening torque
Suspension frame mounting bolt (a): 90 N·m (
9.0 kgf-m, 65.0 lb-ft)
