Immobilizer Control System Check
Vehicle Not Equipped with Immobilizer Indicator Lamp
Step
1 1) Make sure that diagnosis switch terminal (2) in diagnosis
connector (color: blue) (3) is not grounded to ground
terminal (4) by service wire (1).
2) Check malfunction indicator lamp (1) while ignition
switch is ON (but without starting engine).
Does malfunction indicator lamp flash?
2 1) Using service wire (1), ground diagnostic switch terminal
(2) to ground terminal (4) in diagnosis connector (3).
Does malfunction indicator lamp flash?
3 Does malfunction indicator lamp flash ON and OFF at 0.5
sec. intervals?
4 1) Check DTC stored in Immobilizer Control Module
referring to "DTC Check".
Is there any DTC(s)?
