Electric system
Motorino di avviamento
Potenza:
700 W/12 V
Senso di rotazione:
antiorario vista lato presa di forza.
Il motorino di avviamento, data la sua
affidabilità e compattezza di
costruzione, generalmente non
presenta problemi di funzionamento.
Qualora si verificassero anomalie
controllare che il terminale del cavo
elettrico collegato al motorino di
avviamento sia ben serrato sotto il
D dado e non sia ossidato. Nel caso
D
questa verifica abbia dato esito
positivo smontare il motorino di
avviamento dal motore della moto per
poter effettuare una semplice prova
della sua funzionalità senza nessun
carico applicato all'albero (prova a
vuoto). Immobilizzare il motorino ad
un banco di lavoro evitando di
danneggiare il suo involucro.
Utilizzare per la prova una batteria a
12 V perfettamente carica.
Predisporre dei cavi di collegamento
dalla batteria al motorino non
eccessivamente lunghi (non più di
70 cm) e aventi sezione identica a
quella del cavo elettrico presente

sull'impianto della moto. Collegare il
morsetto negativo dell'accumulatore
ad un punto della carcassa del
motorino non ricoperto di vernice e
quello positivo al suo terminale
elettrico. L'albero del motorino deve
ruotare veloce e libero. Durante la
prova prestare attenzione a non
provocare un cortocircuito tra i due
cavi collegati alla batteria.
Smontaggio motorino
d'avviamento
Rimuovere il coperchio alternatore
(Sez. N 8).
Nel caso in cui sia necessario sostituire
tutto il gruppo ingranaggi avviamento,
rimuovere gli ingranaggi rinvio
distribuzione e l'ingranaggio rinvio
motorino avviamento (Sez. N 9.1).
Scollegare il cavo motorino
avviamento/teleruttore (5)
(fare riferimento alla tavola al capitolo
"Disposizioni dei cablaggi sul
motociclo" alla Sezione P 1).
Svitare la vite di fissaggio (1) e se
necessario rimuovere l'inserto (2).
Svitare le viti di fissaggio (3).
Note
Le viti di fissaggio del motorino
d'avviamento sono in origine montate
con frenafiletti.
Estrarre dall'esterno il motorino
d'avviamento e la relativa
guarnizione (4).
Starter motor

The starter motor is highly compact
and reliable and therefore rarely gives
any type of problem. In case of
malfunction, ensure that the starter
motor wiring terminal is properly
tightened under the nut and shows
no sign of corrosion. If the terminal is
properly tightened and free from
corrosion, remove the starter motor
and test it under no-load conditions
(no load applied to the shaft).
Secure the starter motor to a test
bench, making sure you do not
damage the casing. Use a fully
charged 12 V battery for the test.
Use battery-motor connection cables
which are no longer than 70 cm
and with the same cross-section as
the cable on the motorcycle itself.
Connect the negative terminal of the
battery to an unpainted area of the
starter motor casing and the positive
terminal to its electrical terminal.
The motor shaft should rotate freely
at high speed. Take care not to short-
circuit the two cables connected to
the battery.
Removal of the starter motor
Remove the alternator cover
(Sect. N 8).
If the whole starting gear assembly
needs to be renewed, remove the
timing gears and the starter motor
idler gear (Sect. N 9.1).
Disconnect the starter motor /
contactor cable (5) (see diagrams in
"Routing of wiring on the motorcycle"
under Section P 1).
Remove the fixing screw (1) and,
if necessary, the insert (2).
Undo the retaining screws (3).
Notes
The starter motor retaining
screws are assembled with
threadlocker
Slide out the starter motor and its
gasket (4).
