Installing and operating the IPBS and IPBL
Accessing the web interface of the IPBL without a DHCP Server
1. Connect the power cable to the interface and turn on the device.
2. Connect the computer and the Gateway's LAN1 port with an ethernet cable.
3. Ensure that the computer has an IP address within the same IP address range as the IPBL
(192.168.0.1).
4. Perform a hardware reset by pressing the reset button.
5. The product will be assigned the IP address 192.168.0.1 and the netmask 255.255.255.0.
6. Enter the IP address http://192.168.0.1 in a web browser to access the Gateway's web
interface.
7. Select System Administration.
8. Enter user name as admin and the password as changeme.
9. After the first startup, change the DHCP mode to disabled.
Accessing the Gateway in a network with a DHCP server
If the network has a DHCP server, the DHCP server assigns an IP address to the Gateway. The
Gateway's MAC address can be found on the label on the box. The hexadecimal numbers
(xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx) represent the MAC address.
1. Connect the power cable.
2. Connect the ethernet cable between the IP network and the Gateway's LAN1 port.

LAN (broadcast domain) as the Gateway.
3. Open a Command window in Windows and enter the following commands:
C:\nbtstat -R
C:\nbtstat -a ipbl-xx-xx-xx where xx-xx-xx represents the last six
characters of the MAC address.
The IP address is displayed in the highlighted white frame as in the following figure.
