Accessing the Elise 3 Server (AIWS2 Hardware) through the network
Avaya recommends that the Elise 3 Server (AIWS2 Hardware) module should always be
assigned the same IP address if it communicates with other equipment, to prevent it from losing
contact with the equipment after a restart. You can inform the network administrator about the
MAC address and reserve a fixed IP address for the Elise 3 Server (AIWS2 Hardware) through
the DHCP server.
Write the IP address on the blank label, found on the back side of the Getting Started and
Safety document and attach the label on the front side to facilitate future access.
See
Label for IP address/Host name
Note:
If NetBIOS is enabled in the network, the address elise-XXXXXXXX can be used

the label on the back of the module.

Accessing the Elise 3 Server (AIWS2 Hardware) through the management
port (USB)
The management port can be used when Elise 3 Server (AIWS2 Hardware) does not have a
valid and unique IP address, when the IP address has changed or the Elise 3 Server (AIWS2
Hardware) is moved from one network to another. The management port gives access to the
module without having access to the customer's network.
