Installing and operating the IPBS and IPBL
The recommended procedure when changing frequency band is as follows:
1. The site administrator sends out broadcast message to all handsets informing that
the handsets need to be restarted at a specific time.
2. The site administrator enters IP-DECT master and change setting for the frequency and
carriers just before the specific time.
3. All handset users restart their handsets. After the restart the handsets have changed to the
applicable frequency band (EU, US or Brazil).
Setting the frequency band
The IPBS/IPBL can operate in the following frequency bands:
1880 - 1900 MHz, Europe, Africa, Middle East, Australia, New Zealand and Asia

1910 - 1930 MHz, South America
●
1920 - 1930 MHz, North America
●
1910 - 1920 MHz, Brazil. (Brazil is a POE only solution)
●
1. Select DECT > System.

Enabling carriers
The IPBS/IPBL has 5 carriers for the North American frequency band and 10 carriers for the
other frequency bands. Normally you must enable all carriers.
To enable or disable carriers:
1. Select DECT > System.
