Configuring LDAP Replicator
Configure LDAP Replicators in the following cases:
User data is replicated from the Master to the Standby Master. The replicator is configured

on the Standby Master (Full Directory Replication).
User data is replicated from the Master to other Masters in a Multi Master System. The
●
replicator is configured on the Masters not hosting the LDAP Server. To have full roaming
between Masters, the LDAP user must have write access to the LDAP server.

WARNING:
You must not configure the LDAP replication on the IPBS master hosting the
WARNING:
LDAP Server (replication to itself). This configuration is invalid and may result in
failure to subscribe users.
Configuring full directory replication
1. Select LDAP > Replicator.
2. Select the Enable check-box.
3. Enter the IP address to the LDAP server in the Server field.
4. Enter the IP address of the alternative LDAP server in the Alt. Server field.
Note:
If this IPBS/IPBL is configured as a standby LDAP server, enter 0.0.0.0 in the Alt.

5. Select a filter method from the following drop-down lists. As this step is an advanced LDAP
configuration, Avaya recommends that you use the default settings in a standard system.
Filter Type - Enter an LDAP filter to limit replication to certain LDAP objects. The

default is DECT Gateway Name.
Dect Gateway Name - Enter the name of the DECT gateway to limit the replication to
●
users of a certain group. As default setting, keep the field empty.
6. Enter the LDAP User name and Password in the User and Password text fields.
7. Click OK.
Note:
In the case of Master to Standby Master Full Directory Replication, do not register

new Portable Devices when the LDAP Server when the LDAP Server is
nonfunctional even if the system has a Standby LDAP Server.
Checking LDAP Replicator
1. Select LDAP > Replicator-Status.
