Customizing the GUI

This feature is included in 3725, 3740, 3745, and 3749, but not in 3720.
It is possible to customize the telephone Graphical User Interface (GUI) by turning certain
menus On or Off. This is done in the PDM/AIWS by editing a template (or a Number setting) for
the corresponding portable (or Number).
The path to these settings in the template depends on the version of the parameter definition file
(.def). In the current version the path is:
Customization > Visibility > X
where "X" can be System, Settings, and so on.
The parameters are found under "X".
The settings for the parameters may have three alternatives, such as:
Show
Hide all
Hide admin (All settings can be viewed but not modified by the telephone user)
Missed call indication
A missed call is by default indicated by a Missed call window. It is possible to hide this window
and is recommended if a user has, for example, both a telephone and a mobile.
Example:
If configured in the PBX, an incoming call to the telephone can either be answered using the
telephone or mobile. If the user answers the call using the mobile, the Missed call window will
not be displayed in the telephone.
1. Select Settings > Answering.
2. In the Missed Call Indication drop-down list, select one of the following:
Not used - The Missed Call window appears immediately.
1 to 20 seconds - The telephone will register a call as missed if it not answered within
the specified time.
