Powering down
1. Press the Restart button using a paper clip and release within 4 seconds.The Status LED
indicates shutting down with quick flashing blue light.
2. Wait until module shuts down, then remove the power cable. If power to the device is not
disconnected the Elise 3 Server (AIWS2 Hardware) restarts in about a minute. Before
starting up again, the Status LED will indicate "waiting" for one minute with fixed yellow
light. You can remove the power cable within this period. If the power cable is not detached
the system restarts and the Status LED indicates starting up with quick flashing blue light.
Performing a controlled restart
There are two ways to restart an Elise 3 Server (AIWS2 Hardware):
following the power down instruction above, and then apply the power again, or

initiate a restart from the administration web page.

When a controlled restart is performed via the Restart button, all ongoing jobs on

the module end in a controlled way and everything is logged.
Performing a forced restart
1. Use a paper clip or similar and press the Restart button for at least 5 seconds. The power
LED will turn off for a short time (3 seconds) and when it turns on again the Status LED
indicates starting up with quick flashing blue light.
Note:
Forced restart is used as a last resort when the module does not respond at all.
Note:
When a Forced restart is performed, ongoing jobs are not finished (as in a
controlled restart). During startup, there is a delay for three seconds in which you
can start the module in Boot Mode.
Operating modes
Apart from the normal mode, there are three different operating modes; Boot mode,
Demonstration Mode (unlicensed), and Troubleshoot Mode.
