3.2.10 Formation of the Front Wheels Spacing

Change the front wheels spacing by interchanging wheels from one side to another.
The front wheels spacing can have following values in mm: 1270, 1420 (for tyres
265/70R16), and 1250, 1400 (for tyres 12.4L-16).
Installation diagrams and wheels spacing dimensions for tyres 265/70R16 (basic
set) and 12.4L-16 are shown in Table 3.2.6

Versions for mounting the
disk and rim
To set the required wheels spacing, proceed as follows:
- apply the tractor parking brake. Place the wheel chokes in front and behind the
rear wheels;
- use jack to lift the tractor front part (or the front wheels one after another) to pro-
vide clearance between wheels and soil;
- to provide for wheels spacing by interchanging wheels from one side to another,
unscrew the nuts for the wheel disk fastening to the gear case flange, remove wheels and
interchange them from one side to another;
- while installing the wheels make sure that the wheels rotation direction conforms
to the arrow direction on the tyre wall.
Torque for tightening the nut for the disks fastening to the gear case flanges is from 200
to 250 N·m;
ATTENTION: WHEN THE WHEELS ARE INSTALLED, CHECK THE NUTS
TIGHTENING AFTER THE FIRST HOUR OF OPERATION, AFTER 10 HOURS OF OP-
ERATION AND EVERY 125 HOURS OF OPERATION!
ATTENTION: WHEN THE FRONT WHEELS SPACING IS CHANGED, CHECK
AND ADJUST THE FRONT WHEELS TOE-IN. PRIOR TO THE WHEELS TOE-IN
CHECKING, IT IS MANDATORY TO CHECK AND IF NECESSARY TO ADJUST
CLEARANCES IN THE STEERING JOINTS!
