5.4.2.4 Operation 23. Checking the tightening of the CAC air ducts clamps bolts
Check and if necessary tighten bolts of all clamps 3 (Figure 5.4.12)of the CAC air
ducts. Fastening torque for the clamps bolts 5 is from 5 to 8 N m.
ATTENTION:AFTER CHECKING THE CLAMPS BOLTS TIGHTENING TORQUE,
IT IS NECESSARY TO CHECK AIR-TIGHTNESS OF THE ENTIRE ENGINE CHARGING
AIR COOLING DUCT. FOR THIS PURPOSE, INSPECT CONNECTIONS OF ALL AIR
DUCTS AND SILICONE NOZZLES OF THE CHARGING AIR COOLING SYSTEM FOR
DAMAGES AND LOOSENESS. IF MALFUNCTIONS OR DAMAGES ARE DISCOVERED
DURING INSPECTION, IT IS NECESSARY TO FIND THEIR CAUSE AND TAKE
MEASURES TO REMEDY THEM!
IT IS PROHIBITED TO OPERATE THE TRACTOR WITH MALFUNCTIONING
CHARGING AIR COOLING SYSTEM!
5.4.2.5 Operation 24. Checking the air pressure in the tyres
Pressure value in the rear and front wheels tyres shall be selected based on availa-
ble load on the single tyre, the tractor movement speed and work to be performed. If nec-
essary, bring the tyre pressure to required value according to subsection 3.2.8 "Selecting
the optimal inner pressure in tyres depending on operation conditions and load on the trac-
tor axis, tyres operation rules".
ATTENTION: INSPECT AND IF NECESSARY BRING THE TRACTOR TYRE IN-
NER PRESSURE UP TO NORMAL VALUES EVERY TIME WHEN THE TRACTOR IS
SWITCHED FROM ONE TYPE OF WORKS TO ANOTHER, AND WHILE REPLACING
HITCHED MACHINES AND IMPLEMENTS!
5.4.2.6 Operation 25. Checking the condition of the engine cooling system fan driv-
ing belt
The BELARUS-921.6 tractor is equipped with the engine fan poly-V belt with auto-
matic tensioner, which does not require tension checking and adjustment. It is necessary to
check visually for damages only the belt.
5.4.2.7 Operation 26. Draining sediments from the fuel coarse filter
To drain sediments from the fuel coarse filter, proceed as follows:
- open the water drain valve 1 (Figure 5.4.14) of the filtering element 3;
- drain the sediment until clean fuel appears and drain the sediment into special vessel;
- close the water drain valve 1 when clean fuel without water and dirt appears.
