ATTENTION: CHANGE THE GB GEARS AND RANGES ONLY WHEN THE TRAC-
TOR IS STOPPED AND THE CLUTCH PEDAL IS FULLY PRESSED DOWN! WHILE
TRANSPORTATION WORKS PERFORMING IT IS ALLOWABLE TO CHANGE GEARS
WHILE MOVING FROM THE SECOND TO THE THIRD AND FROM THE THRIRD TO THE
SECOND WITHING THE I AND II RANGES, AS WELL AS FROM THE SECOND TO THE
FOURTH, FROM THE FOURTH TO THE SECOND, FROM THE THIRD TO THE FOURTH
AND FROM THE FOURTH TO THE THIRD WITHING THE II RANGE. CHANGE GEARS
WHEN THE TRACTOR IS COASTING AND WITH FULY DEPRESSED CLUTCH COUPLING!
ACTIVATION AND DEACTIVATION OF THE FIRST GEAR, CHANGING TO THE FIRST
GEAR FROM HIGHER GEAR SHALL BE PERFORMED ONLY WHEN THE TRACTOR IS
COMPLETELLY STOPPED AND WITH FULY DEPRESSED CLUTCH COUPLING PEDAL!
ATTENTION: CHANGE THE REVERSE GEAR STAGES FROM FORWARD TO RE-
VERSE MOVEMENT DIRECTION AND FROM REVERSE TO FORWARD MOVEMENT DIREC-
TION WHILE THE TRACTOR IS ON THE FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD GEARS OF GB 1 AND
II RANGES AND ONLY WHEN THE TRACTOR IS COMPLETELLY STOPPED AND WITH FULY
DEPRESSED CLUTCH COUPLING PEDAL! MOVEMENT ON THE GB FOURTH GEAR IS
POSSIBLE ONLY IN FORWARD DIRECTION!
2.15.5 Gear Changing in the Transmission with the Mechanical GB and Me-
chanical Reduction Gearbox.
Controls of the mechanical GB with the mechanical reduction gearbox are shown in
Figure 2.15.10 .

Gears are changed by two levers: GB ranges and gears changing lever 3 (Figure
2.15.10) and reduction gearbox control lever 2.
Select required ranges, gears and stages of the decreasing gearbox (slow-down stage –
"turtle" symbol, accelerating stage – "rabbit" symbol) according to the changing diagrams 4 and
1 as shown in Figure 2.15.10.
Change ranges and gears by the single lever 3, at that, activate the range (I or II) first,
then move the lever into position N and select required gear.
The mechanical decreasing gearbox control lever 2 shall be in activated (fixed) position
during the tractor operation: reverse – accelerating stage (rabbit) or forward – slow-down
stage (turtle).

The BELARUS-921.6 tractor gears diagram plate, which is equipped with the mechanical
GB with mechanical gearbox, is installed on the cab's right windshield and shown in Figures
2.15.11 or 2.15.12 .
It is allowable to keep the lever of the decreasing gearbox in the neutral
