5.7 Tools, Appliances and Instruments for MT and Repairs Performance
To perform repairs and MT it is necessary to use following tools, appliances and in-
struments:
- areometer or densimeter to measure the electrolyte density with lower range limit
no higher than 1.15 g/cm
higher than 0.01 g/cm
- multimeter instrument to monitor the electric circuits and electric equipment opera-
bility with possibility to measure: DC and AC voltage – from 1 mV to 1000 V, DC and AC
current – from 20 mA to 20 A, resistance – from 20 Ohm to 20 MOhm. The multimeter in-
strument measurement uncertainty shall be no higher than 30% of controlled allowance;
- KI-4870 GOSNITI device to check air-tightness of inlet duct;
- hydraulic pressure gage with possibility to measure oils and work fluids pressure
with measurement limits from 0 to 50 MPa with flexible extender (hose) and tips for con-
nection to the threaded openings. The hydraulic pressure gage measurement uncertainty
shall be no higher than 30% of controlled allowance;
- ruler GOST 7502-98 or tape measure GOST 427-75 to measure the engine CF
level, belts tension, electrolyte level with glass tube of diameter from 4 to 10 mm, for per-
forming the tractor units and systems adjustments, with measurement uncertainty no high-
er than 30% of controlled allowance;
- torque-measuring wrenches to tighten the threaded connections, with measure-
ment uncertainty no higher than 30% of controlled allowance;
- pressure gage MD-214 GOST 9921-81 for tyre inflation pressure inspection (it is
allowed to use other tyre inflation pressure inspection instruments with metrological per-
formance similar to the pressure gage MD-214);
- pressure gage - 1.6 MPa-1 GOST 2405-88 for pneumatic system pressure inspec-
tion (it is allowed to use other pneumatic system pressure inspection instruments with met-
rological performance similar to the pressure gage M-1.6 MPa-1);
- calliper gage with measurement limit 150 mm and division value no more than 0.1 mm
according to GOST 166-89 to adjust the speed sensors.
- gauging fixture 8538-7367-01 to check and adjust belt tension of the air-
conditioner compressor;
- force-measuring device DPR-0,1 GOST 13837-79 to monitor force for rotation of
the FDA wheel gear knuckle;
- force and clearance measuring device to measure the steering wheel angular
clearance;
- comb to straighten the radiators fins;
- set of wrenches GOST 2839-80 for working with threaded connections;
- set of fitter's and assembler's screwdrivers GOST 17199-88 for working with
screwed threaded connections;
- wheel chokes for prevention of the tractor spontaneous movement while MT and
repairs performance;
- props to lift the machine of capacity no less than 10 t;
- funnels for filling the tractor with CF, oils and other working fluids;
- vessels to drain used oils and fluids of volumes at least equal to specified in col-
umn 8 of Table 5.8.1 "The list of fuel and lubricants for the BELARUS-921.6 tractor".
Instead of above listed tools, appliances and instruments it is allowable to use other
tools, appliances and instruments with similar metrological performance.
