6.6 Possible Pneumatic System Malfunctions and Directions for their Remedy

The list of the pneumatic system possible malfunctions and directions for their rem-
edy is specified inTable 6.6.1.

Malfunction,evidence, reason
Air leakage from the pneumatic sys-
tem for following reasons:
- loosened or damaged nuts of pipe-
lines, valves, screw clamps.
- rubber sealing of the coupling head
is damaged.
- loosened nut of the coupling head
sealing ring.
- dirt got under the coupling head
valve.
- the dust cover contacts the cou-
pling head valve rod.
- incorrectly adjusted the brake
valve actuator.
- pressure regulator operates incor-
rectly.
- pressure regulator filter is clogged.
- pneumatic compressor is faulty.
The pneumatic compressor is mal-
functioning.
The pressure in cylinder quickly drops when the engine is stopped
Air leakage through the pneumatic
system connecting elements.
The pressure in cylinder quickly decreases with the brakes pedal is pressed
Brake valve is malfunctioning.
The pneumatic compressor feeds to much oil into the pneumatic system
The pneumatic compressor is mal-
functioning.
Incorrect position of the pressure
regulator adjusting cover.
The pneumatic compressor is mal-
functioning.
Pressure in the cylinder builds up slowly
Find the leakage spots and remedy them by tighten-
ing the connections or by replacing damaged parts.
Replace damaged sealing.
Tighten the nut.
Clean.
Remedy.
Adjust the brake valve actuator.
Remove the pressure regulator from the tractor and
send it to the workshop for repairs .
Wash the pressure regulator filter.
Contact the dealer.
Pressure in the cylinder increases slowly
Contact the dealer.
Remedy leakages.
Replace the brake valve.
Contact the dealer.
Insufficient air pressure in the cylinder
Adjust the pressure regulator.
Contact the dealer.
