The FMD is intended for following purposes:
- formation of combined units (cultivator in front and planter etc. behind);
- transportation of single machines, which belong to the rear mounted combined
units, while transporting over long distances.
When the FMD is installed, the front ballast weights are not installed onto the trac-
tor.
Front mounted device will be installed only if the tractor is equipped with the front
tyres 12.4L-16 and rear tyres 14.9R30.
The front mounted device of the tractor is used with tillage tools only in pushing
mode - the FMD usage with tillage tools is not possible in reverse mode.
IT IS PROHIBITED TO USE FMD FOR OPERATION WITH BULLDOZER BLADES
AND FOR THE TRACTOR FRONT PART LIFTING.
The front mounted device is the three-point MD, category 2 according to ISO 730
and NU-2 according to GOST 10677. Diagram of the front mounted device of design NU-2
is shown in Figure 4.3.9. The FMD main parameters are specified in Table 4.3.2.
