5.4.1.7 Operation 6. Checking the AdBlue level in the SCR system fluid tank.
Check AdBlue level in the SCR system fluid tank, refill if necessary.
To check AdBlue level in the SCR system fluid tank, proceed as follows:
- rotate the starter and instruments switch key from position0 (OFF) into position I (In-
struments are ON). The engine parameters will be displayed on the monitor 4 (Figure 2.9.2)
in three or four sections or in graphical mode;
- press any button of the monitor, except for the button 5 (Figure 2.9.1), pop-up
panel will appear on the screen;
- press the button 3, then the monitor will switch into the SCR system parameters
viewing mode and the SCR operation pop-up panel will appear on the monitor;
- the AdBlue reagent level in the tank (%) should appear in the upper left section of
the monitor. If level was not shown, keep pressing the button 2, until the AdBlue reagent
level in the tank will be shown in the upper left section of the monitor;
- if the reagent level in the tank is too low, unscrew the filling neck cap 2 (Figure
2.27.1) and top up the tank 1 with AdBlue reagent.
5.4.1.8 Operation 7.Visual inspection of the exhaust gases processing device.
Visually inspect the condition of the SCR system elements. If the SCR system ele-
ments leakages or mechanical damages are discovered, it is necessary to contact special-
ized service centre to remedy discovered malfunctions.
5.4.1.9 Operation 8. Checking the tyres condition
Visually inspect external appearance and condition of tyres for damages, stuck ob-
jects in tyres (nails, rocks etc.). If necessary, clean the tyres from foreign objects. If there are
damages in tyres, which reach the cord or through the tyre, it is necessary to dismount the
tyre and send it for recovery to special repair shop. If there are irrecoverable damages in the
tyre, replace the tyre. Send faulty tyre for utilisation.
5.4.1.10 Operation 9. The hydraulic system elements inspection.
Visually inspect the hydraulic system elements. If condensations and leakages are
found, remedy them by tightening the threaded connections. Replace high-pressure hoses
with cracks, cuts or damages.
5.4.1.11 Operation 10. Checking the condition of the electric equipment harness
and wiring in the engine compartment, in the cab's front wall area and visible parts of the
electric wiring.
Visually inspect condition of the electric wiring, wire harnesses in the engine com-
partment, in the cab front wall area and visible parts for signs of rubbing, melting or exter-
nal insulation damage. If any of above defects are discovered, take measures to remedy
discovered insulation damages and remove the cause of such insulation damage.
