2.24 Seat and its Adjustment

2.24.1 General

The seat is equipped with mechanical suspension, which consists of the laminated
torsion bar and double-action shock-suspension. The "scissor' type guiding mechanism
provides for the seat straight vertical movement. The seat ride travel is 90 mm.
ATTENTION: PRIOR TO THE TRACTOR OPERATION, ADJUST THE SEAT IN
THE MOST SUITABLE POSITION FOR YOU. PERFORM ALL ADJUSTMENTS WHILE
SEATING ON THE SEAT! THE SEAT IS CONSIDERED TO BE CORRECTLY ADJUST-
ED WITH RESPECT TO OPERATOR'S WEIGHT, IF THE SEAT MOVES DOWNWARDS
BY THE HALF OF TRAVEL DISTANCE WHILE OPERATOR SEATS ON IT (SUSPEN-
SION TRAVEL IS 90 MM)!

2.24.2 Seat Adjustments

1 – lengthways adjustment handle; 2 – seat height adjustment handle; 3 – handle for
adjustment according to weight; 4 – backrestinclination adjustment handle; А – Location of
"+" or "-" marks on the handle for adjustment according to weight.
The seat is provided with following adjustments:
- adjustment according to operator's weight. Performed using the handle 3 (Figure
2.24.1) within range from 50 to 120 kg. To adjust the seat for high weight, move the handle
3 forward in axial direction as far as it will go, rotate it around own axis by 180° ("+" mark
will appear on the handle), then tighten the torsion bar by back-and-forth motion (the tor-
sion bar is tightened by the handle 3 rotation in horizontal plane). To adjust the seat for
lower weight, move the handle 3 forward in axial direction as far as it will go, rotate it
around own axis by 180° ("-" mark will appear on the handle), then release the torsion bar
by back-and-forth motion (the torsion bar is released by the handle 3 rotation in horizontal
plane).
- lengthways adjustment. Performed using the handle 1 within range from  75 mm
from the middle position. To move the seat back and forward, lift the handle 1 upwards to-
wards yourself, slide the seat and release the handle. The seat will automatically lock in re-
quired position;
- the backrest inclination angle adjustment. Performed using the lever 4 within range
from 0° to plus 16°. To change the backrest inclination angle, lift the lever 4 upwards as far
as it will go, incline the backrest into required direction under necessary angle, then re-
lease the lever. The backrest will be fixed in selected position;
- height adjustment. Performed using the handle 2 within range from  35 mm from
the middle position (there are seven positions in all). To increase the seat height, com-
press the suspension slightly and move the handle 2 to the left in respect to the tractor
movement direction. Move this handle to the right in order to decrease height.
