2.18 Controlling the Rear Mounted Device

2.18.1 Controls of the RMD With Hydraulic Hoist

The RMD is controlled by two handles 1 and 2 (Figure 2.18.1), which are installed in
the cab in its side control panel 3.
The draft control handle 1 is the first one if counted from the operator's seat and has
following positions:
- forward most position – maximum soil handling depth (9);
- rearmost position – minimum soil handling depth (1).
The handle 1 range of position is designated with digits from 1 to 9.
The position adjustment handle 2 has following positions:
- rearmost position (1) – the RMD in transportation position;
- forward most position (9) – minimum height of the implement over soil.
The handle 2 range of position is designated with digits from 1 to 9.
1 – draft control handle; 2 – position adjustment handle; 3 – side control panel.
Combined adjustment is performed by limiting the implement depth of penetration
using the handle 2 while working in the draft control mode.

2.18.2 General Information About the RMD With Hydraulic Hoist Control Rules

The hydraulic mounted system of your tractor is equipped with the hydraulic hoist
and provides for the rear mounted device operation in following modes:
- the hitch device lifting and lowering under its own weight;
- position adjustment (automatic maintenance of the hitch device in set position
(with reference to the tractor));
- draft control (the soil handling depth adjustment depending on the soil drag);
- combined adjustment (the soil handling depth adjustment depending on the soil
drag and with the maximum depth limiting by the position adjustment).
The position adjustment system performs precise and responsive control of the
coupled mounted implement position over the soil, such as sprayer, land leveller etc. The
position adjustment can be used with the soil-tilling implements on flat fields. Usage of the
position adjustment is limited on the fields with uneven surface because of the inevitable
vertical movements of the implement while the tractor moves over the field irregularities.
