2.9.4 Engine Control System Panel

The engine control system panel 5 (Figure 2.9.2) includes the push-button switch
for the diagnosis activation 1, the malfunctions diagnosis indicator 2, the socket for auxilia-
ry equipment 3, the data display monitor 4, the socket for connection of the hitched ma-
chines 6 (12V/25A), the diagnostic outlet 7. The EECS electric circuit diagram is shown in
Appendix A.
The push-button switch for the diagnosis activation 1 is intended for recalling active
errors from the engine electronic control unit in form of illuminated codes, which are dis-
played by the malfunctions diagnosis indicator 2. This diagnosis method is an alternative
to the data display monitor 4. For the method of errors illuminated code reading and rec-
ommended actions to remedy malfunctions see the engine operation manual, which is
supplied with the tractor. Discovered malfunctions must be remedied. Contact the dealer to
remedy discovered malfunctions.
The power supply voltage will be fed to the system, when the starter and instru-
ments switch key is turned from the position "OFF" into position "Instruments power sup-
ply". When power supply voltage feeding is activated, the system will perform self-
diagnostics. If there are no errors in the system operation, the malfunctions diagnosis indi-
cator 2 on the engine control system panel shall light up and go off. This is confirmation of
the indicator 2 lamp operability and its correct connection to the vehicle network.
The special diagnostic outlet 7 is intended for connection of the system testers in or-
der to perform extensive service diagnostics of the engine in operation. Specified system
testers are recommended for the dealerships.
