- do not allow the tractor operation with tyres inner pressure, which does not corre-
spond to established nominal values for each specific usage case;
- maintain established rated values of the tyres inner pressures according to direc-
tions in this manual;
- during operation and if necessary do not perform tyres checking and inflation right
after the tractor stoppage: some time is necessary for the tyres to cool down.
- check the tyres pressure in cold condition by the tyre-pressure gage, accuracy of
which shall be regularly checked at the maintenance stations or points for any types of
mechanical transportation means;
- if constant pressure drop is noticed in tyres, it is mandatory to find and remedy
cause;
- usage of tyres with typical sizes not specified in this manual is possible only after
permission from the manufacturer;
- while selecting and procuring new tyres it is necessary to be guided by instructions
in this tractor operation manual.
Incorrect tyre mounting and dismounting will lead to the tyre structure elements
damage. Perform tyre mounting and dismounting at facilities while the tractor is at special
area or in confined area. Usually tyres are mounted and dismounted at the special stand,
but it is allowable to mount and dismount tyres manually (using mounting spoons and oth-
er accessories). Install the same tyre typical size, model and design on the same axis. Pe-
riodical wheels interchange will prevent their non-uniform wear. Do not install wheels with
differing wear extent on the same axis. It is not recommended to use old tubes for new
tyres;
- while setting the wheel spacing it is mandatory to provide equal distances of the
opposite wheels with respect to the vertical plane, which passes through the tractor centre.
While installing wheels onto the tractor do not forget about correct tyre rotation direction
and sufficient safe distance from the wheel and other elements of the tractor structure;
- do not use the tractor with noticeable continuous wheels slipping and overload:
with heavy machines (weight of which exceeds values allowable for the tractor) or with
soil-tilling implements, whose soil drag under current soil conditions is too high for the trac-
tor;
- avoid sudden starting from standstill, sudden braking, sharp turns, and continuous
wheels slipping if the tractor is stuck.
THE TRACTOR OPERATION OR LONG-TERM STANDING ON DAMAGED OR
DEFLATED TYRES IS PROHIBITED.
3.2.8.3 Tyres Inflating
Inflate tyres through the pressure regulator air bleed valve 1 (Figure 3.2.2), for
which purpose perform following operations:
- let the air from the pneumatic system cylinder 3 through the condensate draining valve;
- unscrew wing-nut 2 of the air bleed valve fitting;
- connect the tyre inflating hose to the air bleed fitting and to the tyre valve;
- start the engine and inflate the tyre up to required pressure while checking it with
tyre-pressure gage;
- disconnect the hose from the tyre valve and air bleed valve fitting;
- screw wing-nut 2 onto the air bleed valve fitting.
