The draft control is the ideal mode for operation with the mounted and semi-
mounted implements with tillage tools penetrating the soil. The system is responsive to the
traction force changes (caused by the soil drag or the soil handling depth changes)
through the top link of the hitch device mechanism. The hydraulic system reacts to such
changes by the implement lifting or lowering in order to maintain the traction force set at
the constant level. The system reacts to the compression and expansion force at the top
link;therefore, it is the double-action system.
Combined adjustment - if because of irregular soil density it is impossible to achieve
the constant soil handling depth during the draft control, then it is necessary to limit the
depth increase above the set depth using the handle for position adjustment.
To perform position adjustment, proceed as follows:
- place the draft control handle 1 (Figure 2.18.1) into forward most position along
the tractor movement direction;
- select the required implement height over soil using the position adjustment han-
dle 2.
The digit 1 on the panel corresponds to the RMD transportation position, the digit 9
to the implement minimum height above soil.
To perform draft control, proceed as follows:
- place the draft control handle 1 into forward most position along the tractor move-
ment direction (digit 9 on the panel);
- use the position adjustment handle 2 to couple the implement to the RMD;
- after driving into the furrow, place the handle 2 into forward most position and use
the handle 1 to adjust required soil handling depth;
- while driving out of the furrow with subsequent driving back into it (during tilling),
use only the position adjustment handle 2 and do not touch the draft control handle 1.
If because of irregular soil density, it is impossible to achieve the constant soil han-
dling depth, and then use the position adjustment handle 2 to limit maximum handling
depth (combined adjustment mode) and memorise corresponding digit on the control pan-
el.
The handles 1 and 2 determine the extent of mixing of the signals from sensors
(draft and position) during the combined adjustment.
ATTENTION: PRIOR TO LEAVING THE TRACTOR FOR ANY DURATION IT IS
MANDATORY TO LOWER THE MOUNTED MACHINE ONTO SOIL!
