5. Check extent of the full travel of unblocked pedals separately with force from 270
to 300 N. Such travel shall be within range from 100 to 120 mm. If value of the pedals full
travel is out of this range, perform adjustment according to following directions:
- disconnect the link 4 (Figure 5.4.24) of the parking brake and the link 10 of the
pneumatic valve, for this purpose take out cotter pins and remove pivots 7 and 11 corre-
spondingly;
- unscrew the lock nuts of bolt-links 6 and 10 (Figure 5.4.23) by a few revolutions;
- unscrew or screw in the adjusting bolt-links 6 and 10 of the right and left service
brakes;
- lock the bolt-links;
- connect the link 4 (Figure 5.4.24) of the parking brake and the link 10 of the
pneumatic valve using the pivots 7 and 11 correspondingly, then put cotter pins into them.
6. Check the service brakes operation efficiency while the tractor moves on the dry
road with hard pavement and when the clutch is released. If the brakes interlocked pedals
are pressed with force within range from 550 to 600 N, the braking path while the tractor
moves at speed 20 km/h shall be no more than 6.4 m. The tractor shall not deviate by
more than 0.5 m from the straight line when brakes are applied. If necessary, adjust simul-
taneous brakes application using one of the adjusting bolt-links 6 or 10 (Figure 5.4.23).
