The BELARUS-921.6 tractor belongs to the mechanised transport means category,
which are subject to the road traffic rules and other regulatory documents for operation of
trackless vehicles.
Person operating the tractor is personally responsible for observing the road traffic
rules and safety rules, as well as safety measures and correct usage of the BELARUS-
921.6 tractor, which are set forth in this operation manual.
Qualification of the service personnel who works with the BELARUS-921.6 tractor:
- only persons who received special training and instructed for the occupational
safety measures, acquired documents for the tractor operation right established in accord-
ance with legislation and who received permit to work with specific tractor are allowed to
operate the tractor.
- if the tractor's owner (or person responsible for the tractor operation) does not work on
the tractor himself, then prior to work he must make sure that all persons involved in the trac-
tor operation have received instructions for the safety measures and correct hitching the trac-
tor to machines, have studied the tractor operation manual.
ATTENTION: FOR OWNERS, COMPANY OFFICIALS AND OTHER PERSONS
WHO ARE RESPONCIBLE FOTHE TRACTOR TECHNICAL CONDITION AND OPERA-
TION IT IS FORBIDDEN TO PERMIT THE TRRACTOR TO ROAD TRAFFIC AND
HITCHING, AS WELL AS PERMIT THE OPERATORS TO OPERATE THE TRACTOR
WHILE NOT OBSERVING REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROAD TRAFIC RULES IN FORCE
AND THIS TRACTOR OPERATION MANUAL!
ATTENTION: PRIOT TO THE TRACTOR MOVEMENT AS A PART OF THE MTA,
INCLUDING PRIOR TO THE ENGINE STARTING, MAKE SURE THAT IN IMMEDIATE
VICINITY, INCLUDING IN AREA BETWEN THE TRACTOR AND HITCHED MACHINES
OR TRAILERS (SEMI-TRAILERS), THERE ARE NO PEOPLE!

4.2 Types of Agricultural Machines to be Hitched to the Tractor

The agricultural machines can be divided into following types according by the
method of hitching to the BELARUS-921.6 tractor:
- mounted – fastened in three points to joints of RMD upper and lower links joints. The
tractor completely bears weight of the machine in transportation position. The machine struc-
ture elements in transportation position do not touch the supporting surface. When the ma-
chine is switched from the operating position into the transportation position, the point of the
machine connection to the tractor is forced into new position along height;
- semi-mounted – fastened in three points to joints of MD upper and lower links
joints or only in two points to the RMD lower links joints. The tractor partially bears weight
of the machine in transportation position and most of the weight is supported by own trav-
elling wheels (usually by one or two). When the machine is switched from the operating
position into the transportation position, the point of the machine connection to the tractor
is forced into new position along height. Two-point joint connection is performed by fas-
tening the connecting pivots of the machine undercarriage axle pins to the MD lower links
joints (upper link is not used). It is possible to use the crossbar from the tractor or machine
equipment set.
