6.9 Possible Hydraulic Mounted System Malfunctions and Directions for their
Remedy
The list of the hydraulic mounted system possible malfunctions and directions for their
remedy is specified in Table 6.9.1 .
Table 6.9.1
Malfunction,
evidence, reason
Oil foams in the tank or spills through the breather
Air is sucked into the system
through the intake pipeline.
Air suction through the self-
tensioning cups of the HMS oil
pump.
Too high oil level in the tank.
Excess oil overheating during the system operation
Insufficient oil quantity in the tank.
Flow rate of the implement hydrau-
lic motors does not correspond to
the tractor pump supply.
RMD (FMD) would not lift without the load When one of the HMS distributor
handles is placed into position "lofting" or "lowering", the characteristic sound of the
HMS pump under load is not heard
Fouled safety valve of the HMS dis-
tributor.
RMD would not lift without the load When one of the HMS distributor handles is
placed into position "lofting" or "lowering", the characteristic sound of the HMS pump un-
der load is not heard. The RMD is lifted, when the engine is stopped, position control handle
is moved into the front position, then to the rear position and after the engine is started
again (the power control handle should be in the front position).
Clogged jet opening in the hydraulic
hoist distributor overflow valve.
RMD would not lift without the load When one of the HMS distributor handles is
placed into position "lofting" or "lowering", the characteristic sound of the HMS pump under
load is not heard. The RMD is not lifted, when the engine is stopped, position control handle
is moved into the front position, then to the rear position and after the engine is started
again (the power control handle should be in the front position).
Foreign particles got under the
spool edges in the hydraulic hoist
distributor.
RMD with load would not lift or its lifting is retarded
If this malfunction appears while the
oil in HMS heats up, then the HMS
pump is faulty.
If this malfunction appears under any
oil temperature, then the overflow
valve of the hydraulic hoist distributor
is clogged.
Malfunction remedy
Tighten fastening and if necessary replace sealing of
the intake nozzle.
Check condition of the self-tensioning cups and re-
place them if necessary.
Drain excess oil until recommended level is reached.
Top up the tank by oil to recommended level.
Use the agricultural implements, which are approved
by the manufacturer.
Disassemble and wash the safety valve of the HMS
distributor. Adjust the pressure, which is maintained by
the safety valve.
Contact the dealer. It is necessary to remove the hydraulic
hoist distributor from the tractor, remove the overflow valve
from it, wash the overflow valve, clean the jet opening of
the overflow valve.
The dealer shall perform this operation. Remove the hydraulic
hoist distributor cover. Place the position control handle into the
front position. The spool retaining ring shall rest against the
hydraulic hoist distributor housing. Move the position control
handle into the rear position. The spool shall move upwards by
at least 7 mm. If the spool moved by lesser distance, then dis-
mount the hydraulic hoist distributor, remove foreign particles,
which are stuck under the spool and housing edge.
Contact the dealer. It is necessary to check the HMS pump
throughput on special-purpose stand. If the pump efficien-
cy is less than 0.7, then it is necessary to replace the
pump.
Contact the dealer. It is necessary to dismount the hydrau-
lic hoist distributor, remove the overflow valve and wash
its housing in the diesel fuel.
