Emergency Download and Boot Software with Software Not Running

Monitor the terminal for the message:
xxxxxx DOWNLOAD COMPLETE
Message indicates that the download is complete. Installation of the "new" software is
now required. If this message is not received, go back to step 14 and inform the download
source facility of the problem.

Check the existence and spelling of the downloaded software file name(s). Enter (at the
terminal):
>XDIR (cr)
Note: Optional steps. Check to make sure that the BOOTFL is empty.
Identify the file names that are to be removed from the software's boot file BOOTFL.
Enter (at the terminal):
>DOS LL (cr)
One or more file names are displayed. Save the file names in the event it is desired to run
the old software again.
Remove the current software file names from the software boot file BOOTFL (identified by
the DOS LL command) to allow insertion of the new software's file name(s). Enter (at the
terminal):
>DOS LD (cr)
Verify that the BOOTFL is now empty. Enter (at the terminal):
>DOS LL (cr)
System response: BOOT FILE EMPTY
If a file is listed, go back to optional step b, otherwise, proceed to step 15.
