Download and Boot Software with Software Running

Remove the current software file names from the software boot file BOOTFL (identified by
the DOS LL command) to allow insertion of the new software's file names (may need to
repeat several times if more than one file is in the boot list). Enter (at the terminal):
>DOS LD (cr)

Verify that the BOOTFL is now empty. Enter (at the terminal):
>DOS LL (cr)
System response: BOOT FILE EMPTY
If a file is listed, go back to step 14.

Append a new software file name into the boot file BOOTFL. Enter (at the terminal):
>DOS LA (cr)
prompt:
FILE> f (cr)
where: f = filename of new software.
prompt:
VER> v (cr)
where v = version number of new software.

Verify that the file has been appended into the BOOTFL. Enter (at the terminal):
>DOS LL (cr)
The file name is listed. If other files are to be appended, go back to step 17.

Power down the Standby Processor to clear all RAM and reboot the Standby Processor.
Wait 15 seconds. With the power off, the copy of the obsolete TDYSTS file data in RAM is
erased. Return power to the Standby Processor.
Note: All personnel perform steps 20 through 28.
